The Aerópolis bilingual nursery school is located in the Aerospace Technology Park of Andalusia, a unique innovation space, which concentrates an active community of aerospace and technology companies and promotes cooperation and business development, research and knowledge generation.

In this environment, our nursery school is located in the very center of the Technology Park, in the Aerópolis Business Center Building. Designed by Estudio Carbajal, this project was the winner of the preliminary design competition for the Business Center of the Technology and Aeronautics Park of Andalusia in 2004, was selected in 2009 for the Spanish Architecture Award and won the prize in the first edition of the COAS Architecture Awards in 2015.

In the project, the arrangement of the different spaces was conceived by means of buildings whose communication cores would be supported along a "covered interior street", traced in the manner of some Sevillian passages.

Thus constructed, the building offers a clear orientation to the visitor, who can easily access both the vertical communication cores and the facilities and services that give life to this passage, among them, the reception, the cafeteria, the auditorium, the training rooms and, of course, our nursery school. It is a perfect location for our educational and care project, as it combines very favorable characteristics that provide our students with the highest level of comfort and quality. It is a space that is very attentive to the orientation of its facades -protected by curved vertical slats that alternately present concave and convex surfaces offering the image of a curtain unfolded over them- and that also pays great attention to the lighting and ventilation of its interior spaces

A space for educational innovation

The Aerópolis nursery school was designed taking advantage of all the experience and knowledge acquired with its predecessor, the Cartuja nursery school.

Located in the north and east wing of the building, it also enjoys large glazed facades to the outside, adequately protected by curtains, which bathe all the spaces in natural light but which, in turn, thanks to the convenient orientation and the system of architectural louvers, provide the comfort of indirect light and shade at times of high sunlight.

In its interior design, its location in the heart of the Aerospace Technology Park of Andalusia was taken into account and, therefore, its classrooms are decorated with aeronautical themes. In them you can see graffiti representing the BELUGA, a gigantic whale-shaped aircraft created to transport components of other large aircraft or images (although devoid of all its military aspect) representing the famous A400M aircraft.

All these areas were meticulously designed to encourage our students to have fun, to play, to experiment and to awaken in them their tireless thirst for knowledge and discovery. All of them include multipurpose spaces, play corners, meeting, rest and hygiene areas fully adapted to their age and complexion.

It also has a large outdoor playground that has some truly unique features: it is a totally outdoor area open to the surrounding vegetation and, at the same time, it is covered, which allows greater use and enjoyment of it, regardless of the weather.

And as in our Cartuja nursery school, in Aerópolis all the classrooms were equipped with the new technological standard of computer coordination, with sound systems and image projectors that, in the opinion of its educators, make it possible to learn with music and make use of information and communication technologies and their many new resources created specifically for early childhood education.

How to get there

Its location in the Aerópolis Technology Park places it next to the airport, the Sevilla Fashion Outlet Shopping Center, the headquarters of AIRBUS DEFENCE AND SPACE San Pablo in Seville and all the surrounding areas.

It is also close to the northern and eastern areas of Seville as well as to all the population centers and housing developments along the Autovía del Sur (A-4 highway) on its stretch from Seville to the city of Carmona.

Likewise, its location next to the A-4 highway makes Aerópolis nursery school the perfect destination for the early schooling of all those children whose parents have to travel along the highway towards Seville or towards Carmona.

With an unbeatable access thanks to its fast roads, it has parking areas in front for the delivery and collection of children, large parking areas and availability of public transport services.
