On April 1, 2025 began the regular deadline for applying for places in our bilingual nursery schools for the 2025-26 school year. Throughout the month of April, the management of the centers will inform, advise and receive all applications for admission, as well as applications for aid within the "Program of aid to families for the promotion of schooling in the first cycle of early childhood education in Andalusia", with which our bilingual nursery schools are benefited.

The application forms are available at the nursery schools, as well as all the information required.

A new feature this year is the Junta de Andalucía's free charge programme for pupils aged 2-3 years.

In the month of May our schools will inform the families and will publish on the bulletin board the provisional lists with the admitted applications, the points obtained and the applications not admitted, explaining the reason for the non-admission. The above final list will be made public before the end of May.

As every year, the newspaper ABC of Seville has published a small guide with the most recommended and most demanded nursery schools by parents.

On this occasion, the report focused on "References in Seville: nursery schools with a unique methodology", being again our nursery schools selected as one of the best options for the next academic year 2025-26.

Year after year, since 2016, our bilingual nursery schools are chosen by the ABC newspaper as reference centers when choosing where to start the schooling of the little ones.

On previous occasions, the work methodologies, values / philosophy, the differential value with respect to other centers, the importance of the facilities and indoor-outdoor spaces in the methodology, as well as their importance for parents and, finally, what was most valued by those parents, were the object of analysis. And just like this year, our nursery schools were positioned as "the reference in terms of bilingual nursery education in Seville".

It is worth mentioning our more than 20 years of experience leading the nursery sector, as a result of our "commitment to educational excellence in the nursery cycle, with bilingualism as the backbone and with the constant effort to exceed the expectations of the families of their students".

Coming from France and the United States, students Elawen and Jaclyn have completed an internship and volunteer program with us in our bilingual nursery schools. They have been able to learn first-hand about early childhood education in Spain, learn about teaching and, above all, have had fun practicing their knowledge and acquiring new ones.

Elawen (on the left of the picture) and Jaclyn (on the right) have told us about their experiences, about Seville in general and about our schools in particular.

Tell us where you are from and why you chose Seville as the destination for your study trip:

ELAWEN: I am from Tremblay-les-Villages, a small town in the center of France. I have Breton and Martinique origins. I chose Spain to get to know the language and its culture and Seville a bit by chance, really on the recommendation of my educational advisors in France.
JACLYN: I am from Michigan, a hand-shaped state bordering Canada. I live less than 10 minutes from Lake Michigan, where I have enjoyed its shores and beaches since I was a little girl. I chose Seville because of my love of history. Here in Seville there is a mixture of many religions and cultures (Roman, Visigothic, Arabic) that attracted me. Also my fascination for horses, flamenco, bullfighting, the Feria, .... And obviously, for the climate of Seville. I wanted a good climate and Seville has it. In Michigan it is very, very cold.

What is early childhood education like in your country and what differences stand out to you?:

ELAWEN: In France, early childhood education is similar to the Spanish one, although the learning of foreign languages is less present and later. Just like here, the children do activities, although what has struck me the most is the large number of activities that are done here, with more activities related to their region and traditions, which I think favors them over time.
JACLYN: Early childhood education in Michigan is very similar to early childhood education here. The classrooms are interactive with multiple learning resources. However, one difference that stands out to me is the option of choosing a subsidized nursery school. Where I live, there are no options for children to attend a subsidized nursery school until the age of five, when they start school.

How has it been your adaptation to the city of Seville and its people?

ELAWEN: When I arrived here I discovered a new rhythm of life that took some getting used to, especially because of the meals that are more staggered and that are "lived" until later than in my city. Seville is a very beautiful city where you live very well and you can see the history of past cultures. It is a very green city with many parks, with many bike paths, located near the sea and the mountains. It's a city where you live outside, it's another lifestyle, much more sociable, where people get together, especially the family which I think occupies a very important place.
JACLYN: First of all I want to say that I am in love with Seville! In general, people are open, lively and friendly. Many times, people are patient with me when I speak Spanish and correct me if I make mistakes. The city is alive at night and I always feel safe. Also, I love the brightly colored flowers and the smell of the orange trees. Seville is a city with a lot of passion that interests me a lot.

What will you miss about Seville and our nursery school?

ELAWEN: When I have to go back to France I will miss the kindness of the people, the mildness of the winter, the Sevillian way of life, being able to put my clothes to dry on a rooftop, the style of the establishments, the colors and from the nursery school to my colleagues and my children. Above all, to them. Working with them, their pride of being Sevillanas and the joy of my students since the morning, their enthusiasm and affection. Oh, and the Feria, I will miss the Feria very much.
JACLYN: I know I will miss when I have to go back to Michigan, nature in Seville and Maria Luisa Park. I will miss my walk to the University of Seville in the morning, always listening to the birds or being able to go to the University or 5th Avenue Nursery School without a car. I will miss the life of Seville at night, the music in the streets that always invites me to dance and the tapas (especially the patatas bravas). From the nursery school I will miss the laughter, the fun atmosphere with the children, playing with them, the dances, the children's songs, their hugs and kisses. Feeling that every new day I can give them more hugs and kisses. My experience has been extraordinary. Finally, I would like to say that I really enjoyed the Feria in Seville.
