The 5th Avenue bilingual nursery school is located within the Cartuja Science and Technology Park, the first international example of reuse of a site inherited from a universal exhibition (Expo'92), in a space of connection between University, Science and Business.

In a privileged location, surrounded by vegetation and trees, the school is located in the center of Charles Darwin Avenue (former Avenue 5, in "Expo'92" terminology).

The building of the nursery school, as well as the Avenue itself, is the work of the famous New York architectural firm "SITE". This space was designed as one of the five main avenues of the Universal Exposition of Seville. Its configuration in the form of undulating water wall three hundred meters long built in glass was conceived as a site-specific experience, which in the words of its authors, "celebrates the topography of the Guadalquivir River and its history as a route to the sea for nautical explorers of the fifteenth century. It also represents the theme of the exhibition, "discovery" and the emerging relationship between technological and ecological initiatives in the 21st century." Accompanying this undulating glass wall is a large landscaped pergola, which runs the length of the avenue, providing shade during the summer months.

The interior remodeling works of the nursery school were designed by the studio MIGUEL BLÁZQUEZ ARQUITECTOS.

A large space

The nursery school was conceived as a large open space, where its spacious classrooms were bathed in natural light from the glazed walls, which were only tinted by colored Venetian blinds, thus allowing, when necessary, the attenuation of light.

A school open to the world and where the world will be reflected in it through its decoration. Gigantic graffiti on its walls give shape to the designed theming of its classrooms, configuring large scenarios for imagination, adventure and fun. The jungle, space, the deep sea are environments in which our students play and learn. Other classrooms reflect on their walls the conquest of the skies through hot air balloons, adventure literature with scenes of pirate ships and finally, the world of theater and music.

Classes carefully designed to promote play and experimentation in our students and to awaken their curiosity and interest in learning.

Multifunctional environments with play and learning corners, meeting areas and spaces for hygiene and rest. Classrooms that contemplate the new technological standard of computer coordination and with sound systems and image projectors that, according to their educators, make it possible to learn with music and make use of information and communication technologies and their new educational resources for early childhood education.

Everything in them has been designed to provide the highest level to our little ones, their shapes, paths, furniture, air conditioning and ventilation facilities, etc.

How to get there

Its convenient location, close to the center of Seville as well as to the neighborhoods of La Macarena, Triana and Los Remedios, make our nursery school the perfect destination for the early schooling of the little ones.

Likewise, its location near one of the main entrance roads to the city, make it a school easily accessible to all those who come to Seville from the Aljarafe, the south of the province and other surrounding towns.

It has comfortable access roads to the school itself, parking area in front for the delivery and collection of children, public transport services and bike lane, which allows our students and parents to reach from anywhere in the city by bike.
